Miramar Alnayyar

Miramar Al Nayyar (b. 1997, Iraqi) is a multi-disciplinary artist currently based between Amman and Dubai. Al Nayyar’s work explores the intersection of nature, motion, temporality, and spatiality. She is particularly focused on the introspective examination of desert rock formations and their connection to the human body, creating works that reflect the interplay between transitory forces and enduring stillness. Using a self-developed methodology, Al Nayyar captures the ephemeral choreography of motion in the desert landscape, blending oil glazing, wet-on-wet paint layering, and airbrushing to immortalize the natural rhythm she observes. Her practice emphasizes the ceaseless movement and cyclical nature inherent in her surroundings. Her work has been featured in exhibitions at Gallery Ras Ain (2017), The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts (2018), and NOFA Gallery (2020), among others. Al Nayyar has also participated in multiple street art festivals and projects, including the Baladk Street Art Festival (2017-2019), Distrito Grafiti Festival (2019), and Open Art Shuffle street art festival (2021).
