Studio Anne Holtrop is the architecture practice of Dutch architect Anne Holtrop, working between Muharraq, Bahrain, and Amsterdam; founded in 2009 after his cum laude graduation from the Academie van Bouwkunst in 2005, the studio develops a material-driven, site-specific methodology through research and making, with early major commissions including Museum Fort Vechten in the Netherlands and the National Pavilion of the Kingdom of Bahrain for Expo 2015; in Bahrain the office has realized projects such as the Rehabilitation of the Manama Post Office, the Qaysariya Suq, and the Green Corner Building, with the post office shortlisted for the 2020–2022 Aga Khan Award for Architecture; the practice also designs retail environments for Maison Margiela, including the London Bruton Street flagship and additional stores in Paris, Osaka, Shanghai, Miami, and Los Angeles; Holtrop has taught extensively, leading a design studio at ETH Zurich and currently serving as a titular professor at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio; studios are located in Muharraq and on Keizersgracht in Amsterdam.
