Slavs and Tatars is an art collective devoted to the complexities of Eurasia—a region stretching from Berlin to Beijing—through a practice that merges polemic with intimacy. Working across exhibitions, publications, and lecture-performances, their work mines language, ritual, and belief to probe the thresholds between politics, identity, and humor. Beyond the gallery, the collective runs Pickle Bar, a slavic aperitivo-cum-project space in Berlin, and MERCZbau, an online platform for editions and merchandise. Their initiatives also include mentorship programs supporting emerging voices from the region. Slavs and Tatars is represented by Tanya Bonakdar (New York), Kraupa-Tuskany Zeidler (Berlin), Raster (Warsaw), The Third Line (Dubai), and Kalfayan (Athens).
