MJ Lenderman, born Mark Jacob Lenderman in 1999 in Asheville, North Carolina, is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his raw indie rock sound infused with alt-country elements. His third album, Boat Songs (2022), earned widespread critical acclaim and appeared on numerous best-of-the-year lists, solidifying his reputation as a sharp, introspective songwriter.
