Kotaro Yamada is a prominent Japanese sculptor and artist, born in Tokyo in 1988. He is a Musashino Art University alumnus, where he completed both his undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Sculpture by 2016. Yamada's work is deeply rooted in exploring the nuances of human forms and existential themes through sculpture. Yamada has distinguished himself in the art community with numerous solo and group exhibitions. His solo showcases include "A New Beginning" at Shinjuku Takashimaya in 2023, "Persona" at Ginza Six Tsutaya Art Wall Gallery in 2022, and "BLIND FAITH" also at Shinjuku Takashimaya in 2020. His pieces often provoke contemplation on the human condition, weaving narratives that connect deeply with his audience. In group settings, Yamada has been a regular contributor, with notable exhibitions such as at the Deus Ex Machina in Harajuku for the "Neo-Spiritual" exhibition in 2018, and a collaborative item launch with fashion designer Justin Davis in 2021. His works have also graced television, with commissioned sculptures for the Japanese TV show "Border" in 2014, and for films like Mika Ninagawa's "Diner" in 2018.
