Joseph Sawicki Tarella

Joseph S. Tarella has been a principal of SawickiTarella Architecture+Design since 1983, bringing over four decades of leadership to the firm. With deep expertise across multiple architectural disciplines, he has spent the past 30 years designing and managing projects for major U.S. and international companies throughout New York and across the country. His professional focus spans corporate headquarters for financial institutions, office and retail space planning, luxury retail projects entering the U.S. market, and institutional architecture. Prior to joining SawickiTarella, Mr. Tarella contributed to significant urban developments, including the National Westminster Bank headquarters tower with Fox & Fowle Architects and the Battery Park City master plan and 42nd Street Redevelopment with Cooper, Eckstut Associates. He holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University in New York City. A member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and The Business Connection of New York, Mr. Tarella is licensed to practice architecture in multiple U.S. states and holds NCARB certification.
