Hannah Rose Stewart is an artist originally from Newcastle, UK, now residing and working in Berlin, Germany. Her artistic practice is centered on reimagining societal constructs through various mediums including sculpture, new media, and live spatial installations. Stewart’s work is deeply informed by her studies into hauntology, architecture, cybernetic, and post-modern culture, drawing inspiration from thinkers like Mark Fisher and Franco Bifo Berardi. Her unique approach creates an anachronistic yet deliberately self-referential symbolic architecture within her pieces, using the modern urban experience as a backdrop to critique broader political and social themes. This method results in compelling and thought-provoking works that leave a lasting impression of both familiarity and unease. Stewart’s creations have been showcased in prestigious venues across the globe, including the Serpentine Gallery and The Turner Contemporary in the UK, as well as Trauma Bar und Kino and Haus N in Berlin.
