Ahaad Alamoudi

Ahaad Alamoudi (b. 1991, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work navigates the shifting representation of Saudi identity through print, video, performance, and installation. Raised between Saudi Arabia and the UK, her practice reconsiders the constructs of nationhood and ethnography, examining state symbolism, media tropes, and folklore within the context of a rapidly transforming cultural landscape. Alamoudi’s formal training in visual communication (Dar Al Hekma University, Jeddah, 2014) and printmaking (MA, Royal College of Art, London, 2017) grounds her sharp aesthetic, while her ongoing PhD at RCA explores performative strategies of re-enactment and archival disruption. Her work often presents hybridised personas and choreographed interventions that oscillate between satire and sincerity, critically engaging with systems of power and representation.
