WUF Magazine Issue 002: THE RIP ISSUE

WUF Magazine Introduces The Launch of "The RIP Issue" curated by Jesse Draxler on Occasion of Milano Fashion Week 2024.

This September WUF Magazine returns with its second issue and signature collaborative curation formula with "The RIP Issue": a special issue dedicated to Milano Fashion Week curated by RIP, headed by Jesse Draxler in collaboration with eleven co-curators.

Born with the intention of providing journalists with the most updated portfolio of projects destined to leave an indelible mark on the future, with this issue WUF Magazine further explores how the worlds of art, music and fashion are increasingly merging, offering an outlet that captures and drives these dynamic shifts. The RIP Issue stands as a bold exploration of Radical Iconography Production, a concept spearheaded by Jesse Draxler, to whom the WUF editorial team entrusted full creative control for this issue.

Jesse Draxler is a multidisciplinary artist known for his evocative visual language combining gritty surrealism with crisp psychedelic compositions and existentially dualistic themes. RIP represents a multidisciplinary creative lab that merges art, sound, and identity into a cohesive, boundary-pushing experience. In addition to including a selection of profiles and projects, Jesse Draxler also selected eleven guest curators each of whom brought their unique vision to the issue by curating their own projects and artists.

The diverse range of co-curators include Nick Knight, the pioneering founder of SHOWstudio and a luminary in fashion photography; Chelsea Wolfe, whose music hauntingly weaves together gothic, folk, and doom metal to explore deep existential questions; Maria Abramenko, a curator known for her work in visual art and new media; and Ashton Michael, an avant-garde fashion designer who blends high fashion with streetwear, to name a few.

Each featured project and profile explores themes of transformation, alienation, identity, and the human experience, exploring the more introspective aspects of existence, be it through experimental soundscapes, avant-garde fashion, or immersive installations.

Enhancing the physical interaction with the magazine, the WUF Magazine app invites readers to look deeper into "The RIP Issue." By scanning QR codes located within the pages magazine, readers can in fact unlock the digital extension of each narrative and connect directly with the highlighted projects, enriching their understanding and appreciation of the curated content. A dedicated playlist located in the opening pages further complements the immersive experience.

During Milano Fashion week this september, "The RIP Issue" will be distributed uniquely via the WUF wagon, strategically located at major fashion show venues, ensuring that the magazine reaches a carefully selected audience of press representatives and industry influencers.
