WUF Architecture & Design 2025

On the occasion of the closing of the 2025 Venice Biennale, WUF will present a special activation dedicated to architecture and design.

The initiative will revolve around the release of the new edition of WUF Architecture & Design 2025, curated by Swiss architect Mino Caggiula, known for his innovative research and design approach that blends nature, technology, and formal experimentation.

Mino Caggiula, whose studio is renowned for visionary and iconic works that merge architectural experimentation with cultural sensitivity, has overseen the curatorial direction of this edition of WUF Magazine. The issue aims to weave a collective narrative on the “future of living,”connecting diverse disciplines, languages, and geographies.

The magazine explores the themes of future living, innovation, and the relationship between design and technology, inviting leading international figures to reflect on the delicate balance between memory and imagination, tradition and experimentation.

Its goal is to chart a new geography of ideas capable of redefining how we will inhabit tomorrow.

A central role has been played by Laila Brinbek, Director of the United Arab Emirates Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, who has been instrumental in selecting the curators and projects from the Emirati scene.

Thanks to her vision, the Emirates stand as a platform for intercultural dialogue, bridging experiences from the Middle East with those of the European context.

The initiative will culminate in a special event in Milan, hosted at the WUF studios on October 28, featuring a panel discussion with Etan Genini (Founder of WUF), Mino Caggiula, Laila Brinbek, and Marco Capodieci, representing Corriere della Sera.

During the event, Laila Brinbek and Mino Caggiula will also be available for interviews to share how, over the years, an intercultural bridge has taken shape and how it is redefining the global architectural landscape.

The co-curators involved - including Steven Holl Architects, Andrea Lupi, Sergio Tucci, Massimiliano Milan, Luca Santi, Christian and Maurizio Mussati, AG&P greenscape, Studio Giuliana Salmaso, Joseph Sawicki Tarella, Branko Zrnic, Bettina Bolten, Stefano Laprocina, Diego Mingarelli, Meitha Almazrooei, and Azza Abolam - have, through their curatorial work, showcased projects that embody the spirit of future living, demonstrating how tradition and avant-garde can coexist within a single shared narrative.

To complete the experience, video interviews will be released, offering insights into the professional journeys of some of the co-curators featured in this edition of the magazine.
