Woc, born in 1995 in Turin, Italy, is a progressive visual artist deeply engaged with the exploration of imagery in the digital era. He resides and works in his hometown of Turin, where he investigates the multifaceted symbolic and aesthetic values of images. His art practice involves studying web content, news photos, iconic figures, and historical images, which he skillfully selects, reworks, and recontextualizes to reflect their evolving significance in modern society. From 2017 to 2021, Woc collaborated closely with Virgil Abloh at Off-White™, contributing to the creation of unique artworks for the brand's clothing lines. His portfolio also includes partnerships with major music labels like Universal Music & Sony Music, working with artists such as Mecna, Myss Keta, and Michael Sorriso. Since 2019, Woc has been creating specific projects for renowned brands such as Adidas and Nike, as well as popular streetwear stores like Slam Jam, Spectrum Store, and Atipici. In 2020, Woc began to market his selected artworks through eBay auctions, starting bids as low as $1.00. His engagement with digital art intensified in January 2022 when he started embracing Web3 dynamics and blockchain technology, striving to balance digital dissemination with physical art creation. Woc is also the co-founder and art director of the fashion brand Italia90, since 2017. His recent exhibitions include "NESSUNO È SOLO" at Noire Gallery, Turin (2021), "SOCIAL BOOM" at Noire Gallery, Turin (2020), and several others that highlight his critical engagement with contemporary visual culture. His work continues to push the boundaries between the digital and the tangible, making significant impacts both online and in physical spaces.
