Wet Leg, an indie rock duo from the Isle of Wight, England, was formed in 2019 by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, who met at the Isle of Wight College. Their debut single, "Chaise Longue," released in June 2021, quickly garnered attention for its catchy melody and witty lyrics, amassing millions of streams and views. Following this success, they signed with Domino Recording Company and released their self-titled debut album in April 2022. The album received critical acclaim and debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Wet Leg's music is characterized by its playful and irreverent style, blending elements of post-punk and indie pop. Their rapid rise in the music scene has been marked by notable performances and accolades, including winning Best New Artist and Best British Group at the 2023 Brit Awards. They have also been recognized with Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance.
