Warhaus is the solo project of Belgian musician Maarten Devoldere, co-founder of the indie pop band Balthazar. Launched in 2016, Warhaus showcases Devoldere's exploration of romantic and melancholic themes, drawing inspiration from artists like Leonard Cohen and Serge Gainsbourg. The debut album, We Fucked a Flame into Being (2016), was followed by a self-titled release in 2017. After a five-year hiatus, Warhaus returned with Ha Ha Heartbreak in 2022, delving into the complexities of love and loss. In 2024, Devoldere released Karaoke Moon, further refining his distinctive blend of noir-pop and jazz influences.
