Waheeda Baloch is a Sindh-born curator, performance artist, and educator, appointed as the first woman to lead the Karachi Biennale (KB24). With a background in fine arts and curatorial studies from Sindh University and Stockholm University, Baloch brings a critical, community-focused perspective to her work. Founder of ArtFest Karachi and Associate Professor at the Institute of Art and Design, she is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Bonn. Her curatorial practice draws from regional heritage, feminist discourse, and an ongoing engagement with art history and theory.
