Sumantro Ghose is Artistic Programming Director for Arts and Creative Industries at the Royal Commission for AlUla. He is responsible for the creative direction of the annual AlUla Arts Festival and programming for planned cultural assets including Wadi AlFann, the contemporary art museum and the AlJadidah Arts District. He oversees development of exhibitions, performing arts, community engagement and thought leadership programmes. He was founding Artistic Director of Noor Riyadh, conceiving the inaugural edition of what became the largest festival of art and light in the world. As Culture Programming Director at the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, he oversaw Abu Dhabi Art, Abu Dhabi Music and Culture Summit Abu Dhabi, an annual forum for global cultural leaders.
