Sethu, born Marco De Lauri on November 21, 1997, in Savona, Italy, is a singer and rapper celebrated for blending hip-hop with alternative rock influences. His musical journey began in local punk bands, later shifting to hip-hop under the guidance of his twin brother Giorgio, aka Jiz. Together, they debuted with the EP Spero ti renda triste... in 2018, followed by standout singles like "Butterfly Knife" and "Hotspot" in 2019, which garnered critical acclaim and placed Sethu on RockIT’s "CBCR of the Year" list. In 2022, Sethu signed with Carosello Records, releasing "Giro di notte" and earning MTV New Generation's "Artist of the Month." He made his national debut at the 73rd Sanremo Music Festival with "Cause perse," showcasing his emotional, introspective lyrics. While his performance finished 28th, it established his distinct voice in Italian music. Deeply collaborative, Sethu's creative partnership with Jiz continues to shape his genre-defying sound.
