Sarah Brahim

Sarah Brahim is a visual and performance artist whose interdisciplinary practice encompasses immersive video installations, dance, and performative works. Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, she has trained extensively in contemporary dance and health sciences, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance from the London Contemporary Dance School (2016) and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from Portland State University/Oregon Health Science University (2014). Her formative years also included professional dance training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. Brahim's work delves into themes of embodiment, memory, and the interplay between the human body and external environments. She employs somatic gestures to create a language that articulates experiences of grief, transformation, and our relationship with the natural world. Her performances and installations often feature structured improvisations with dancers, musicians, and cinematographers, emphasizing the body's capacity to convey complex narratives beyond verbal expression.
