

Saj Issa is a St. Louis–based artist whose practice explores materiality, identity, and cultural inheritance through ceramics and sculpture. Drawing from personal and collective memory, her work engages with craft traditions and contemporary form, often centering the body, language, and ornament. Issa holds an MFA from UCLA and a BFA from Webster University. Her work has been shown at Craft Contemporary, Felix Art Fair, and Materials Fair, and she has been featured in New American Paintings and awarded the 2022 NCECA Graduate Fellowship.
