Polyphia, formed in 2010 in Plano, Texas, is an instrumental progressive rock band known for their innovative fusion of genres. The group comprises guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, bassist Clay Gober, and drummer Clay Aeschliman. Their debut EP, Inspire (2013), gained attention through a viral guitar play-through of "Impassion" on YouTube. Their first full-length album, Muse (2014), marked a shift as they began incorporating pop, funk, and electronic elements into their music. This evolution continued with Renaissance (2016) and New Levels New Devils (2018), where they further blended genres like EDM and hip-hop into their sound. In 2022, they released Remember That You Will Die, featuring collaborations with artists such as Steve Vai and Chino Moreno. Polyphia's dynamic compositions and technical proficiency have established them as a distinctive force in modern instrumental music.
