MUDAM

MUDAM, the Museum of Modern Art Grand-Duc Jean, holds the most significant collection of contemporary art in Luxembourg. Established in 1998 and opened in 2006, the museum's collection exceeds 800 works that span a broad range of media, from paintings to fashion and design objects. Notably, MUDAM houses works from the late 20th and 21st centuries, including rare pieces like Alvar Aalto's Paimio Sanatorium furniture. The museum’s collection development is guided by a distinguished committee including leaders from major international institutions. MUDAM not only serves as a repository of contemporary art but also as a platform for commissioned works that resonate with its unique architectural setting.
