Metropolis Cinema Association is a Beirut-based nonprofit organization committed to supporting independent cinema across Lebanon and the MENA region. Through accessible programming, professional training, and youth engagement, Metropolis fosters a vibrant and inclusive cinematic culture. The association also advocates for the preservation and promotion of Lebanese and regional film heritage, working to uncover, archive, and disseminate forgotten or overlooked cinematic histories. Driven by values of accessibility, education, ethical distribution, and talent development, Metropolis aims to expand the reach of alternative cinema locally and internationally. Its initiatives range from affordable screenings and school programs to professional development for young filmmakers, all in collaboration with regional and global partners.
