

Kelly Lee Owens, born on August 24, 1988, in Rhuddlan, Wales, is a Welsh electronic musician and producer known for her fusion of techno, dream pop, and ambient music. Her musical journey began in her teens playing bass and drums. At 19, she moved to Manchester to work as an auxiliary nurse in a cancer treatment hospital, where patients encouraged her to pursue music full-time. After relocating to London, Owens worked at the record store Pure Groove, immersing herself in diverse musical genres. She collaborated with Daniel Avery on his 2013 album Drone Logic, contributing vocals and co-writing tracks, which helped develop her production skills. Owens released her self-titled debut album in 2017, blending pulsating techno with ethereal melodies, earning critical acclaim. Her second album, Inner Song (2020), featured collaborations like "Corner of My Sky" with John Cale.In 2022, she released LP.8, an experimental exploration of darker, ambient sounds, followed by her fourth album Dreamstate (2024), merging pop sensibilities with club beats.
