Imran Qureshi is a Pakistani artist whose practice emerges from the tradition of Mughal miniature painting, reimagined through the lens of contemporary abstraction. Working across paper, canvas, and site-specific installation, Qureshi fuses ornamental detail with visceral gesture—most notably through the use of red acrylic and gold leaf. His work explores the tension between beauty and violence, tradition and transformation, reflecting on the socio-political realities of today while evoking renewal and resilience. Holding space for both rupture and regrowth, Qureshi offers a visual language where fragility and resistance co-exist.
