Ash Blue Gutierrez, known as glaive, is an American singer-songwriter and producer who emerged as a key figure in the hyperpop movement. Born on January 20, 2005, in Florida, he began creating music during the COVID-19 pandemic, quickly gaining traction on SoundCloud with his raw, emotionally charged tracks. His debut EP, Cypress Grove (2020), and follow-up projects, including All Dogs Go to Heaven (2021), cemented his reputation for blending hyperpop with heartfelt storytelling. In 2022, glaive released "Minnesota Is a Place That Exists," a standout single showcasing his knack for capturing the nuances of youth and relationships through evocative lyrics and intricate production. The accompanying video, directed by Ramez Silyan, added visual depth to the song's themes. In 2023, glaive explored a broader sonic palette with his debut album I Care So Much That I Don't Care at All, followed by May It Never Falter (2024), signaling his evolution beyond hyperpop.
