Fondation Beyeler is one of Switzerland’s leading art institutions, dedicated to modern and contemporary art. Founded by art collectors Ernst and Hildy Beyeler and opened in 1997 in Riehen, just outside Basel, the museum was designed by Renzo Piano to harmoniously blend with its surrounding landscape. The foundation’s collection features major works by artists such as Monet, Cézanne, Picasso, Rothko, and Giacometti, while hosting landmark temporary exhibitions of both historical and contemporary figures. With a mission to make art accessible to broad audiences, Fondation Beyeler combines world-class exhibitions with an immersive, contemplative setting.
