EMERGENCY
EMERGENCY

EMERGENCY is an independent, neutral NGO founded in 1994 to provide free, high-quality medical and surgical care to victims of war, landmines, and poverty. Rooted in the belief that healthcare is a fundamental human right, the organization operates under the principles of equality, quality, and social responsibility, offering care without discrimination based on economic status, ethnicity, religion, or ideology. With operations in conflict zones and underserved regions, EMERGENCY designs, builds, and manages medical facilities staffed by international experts, while training local personnel to ensure long-term autonomy. Beyond healthcare, it actively promotes a culture of peace, solidarity, and human rights, aiming not only to treat the consequences of war, but to abolish it. Recognized by the United Nations and operating with exceptional transparency, EMERGENCY invests the vast majority of its resources directly into its hospitals and peacebuilding initiatives, supported by a global network of volunteers and donors.
