Dima Srouji

Dima Srouji is an architect and visual artist whose work explores the ground as both a metaphor for cultural heritage and a physical space for collective healing. She uses an interdisciplinary approach—working with glass, text, maps, plaster casts, and film—to question the meaning of public space, particularly in the context of Palestine and the MENA region. Her practice challenges the boundaries of history and contemporary experience, engaging deeply with archaeologists, anthropologists, and other specialists to bring her vision to life. Srouji’s work is part of the permanent collections of leading institutions such as the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Centre Pompidou. Her artistic journey has been marked by exhibitions at prestigious venues like the Venice Biennale, Sharjah Biennial, and the Louvre Abu Dhabi, with upcoming shows at institutions like the Hayy Jameel in Jeddah and Washington Project for the Arts in 2025.
