Bricklab is an award-winning, Jeddah-based architecture studio for architecture, design and experimental research, co-established in 2015 by brothers Abdulrahman and Turki Gazzaz. The practice probes the boundaries between art, material research, and built environments, delivering cultural buildings, public-realm interventions and exhibition scenography, and founding initiatives such as Saudi Modern. Bricklab represented Saudi Arabia at the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2018 with “Spaces in Between,” the country’s inaugural architecture pavilion; in 2019 the studio won Art Jameel’s international competition to design Hayy Cinema, Jeddah’s first independent picture house, and recent work includes the Diriyah Biennale Foundation building in Riyadh.
