Bahraini-Danish is an interdisciplinary cultural and architectural practice founded in Bahrain in 2016 by Batool Alshaikh, Maitham Almubarak, and Christian Vennerstrøm Jensen. With offices in both A’ali, Bahrain, and Copenhagen, Denmark, the studio works across a wide range of creative outputs, from design objects and jewellery to furniture, installations, interiors, and architecture. The collective draws on their diverse cultural backgrounds and embraces a collaborative, research and craft-based approach, creating works in dialogue with history, place, and material culture. Their practice is characterized by democratic design processes, local craftsmanship, and the seamless blending of modes, where furniture often hints at architectural ambition with works exhibited across the Gulf and beyond.
